In line with Alder’s policy, the EU directive 2019/1937 and to build a culture of integrity and accountability, we are introducing the SMG whistleblowing policy to all companies in the group.
The whistleblowing policy is a vital step in fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and ethical responsibility within our company. Whistleblowing provides employees with a safe and confidential way to report misconduct, unethical behaviour, or violations of laws and internal policies. This not only helps prevent serious legal and financial repercussions but also signals our commitment to doing business the right way.
By empowering individuals to speak up without fear of retaliation, we demonstrate that integrity matters at every level of our organization. It encourages accountability, strengthens our internal controls, and ultimately protects our reputation, stakeholders, and long-term success.
While we encourage open communication at all levels, we recognize that not every concern requires formal escalation. In many cases, issues can and should be resolved by speaking directly with your manager or supervisor. Addressing concerns at the appropriate level first helps maintain trust and clarity within teams. However, when this is not possible, or when the issue involves serious misconduct or potential retaliation, the whistleblowing channel offers a necessary and protected alternative.
As whistleblowing is intended to be made available for both internal and external concerns, please add the link below to your respective company’s website where appropriate..
